    this amazing before & after comes from RISD professor wendy seller. along with fourteen other artists, wendy converted an old elementary school into beautiful live/work studios called “the claflin school studios” in newtonville, mass. this particular section is wendy’s space, which took her six years to build (between 1988-94) single-handedly. i can’t get over what the space looked like before and how much she’s transformed it into a livable space- great work wendy! [and thanks to anne for sharing this!]

    okay okay okay... so apparently i'm a sucker for floral print and autumn color palettes. we probably all knew that by now, right? though i have to admit the top photo is probably my favorite look of the week. its simple, casual, low key but still attention-grabbing. all photos were found via the wardrobe remix group on flickr. what are some of your favorites this week?!

    i absolutely LOVE the style of this one. cute and quaint but still old school.

    pretty safe to say this is my favorite chest piece EVER.

    Chimp Attack Victim Breaks Her Silence


    oh my word, the story of charla nash is incredible. i remember hearing the audio from the 911 several months ago. it's amazing how he's able to go on living life, etc, all the while knowing nothing will ever be the same. heartbreaking and absolutely inspiring. the strength of this woman is beyond what i can even fathom.
