This is awesome! The super talented Kelli Anderson designed the infographics for a bright orange popsicle solar powered truck distributing free popsicles in New York City. The job lead by Jason Anello cleverly educates and advertises about solar power for the company Sungevity. Rad.
This is such a brilliant ad concept for the Artis Royal Zoo in Amsterdam designed by Dawn. Anyone can pull off the stickers from their signs and place them throughout the city to promote the zoo. Very cool! This video clip shares how it is done.
These fantastic video clips for the EF Live the Language campaign have been making the blog rounds, I absolutely adore them! The typography, cinematography, message is perfection! Have you seen them yet? It makes me want to get away to Paris right away! See more clips for other countries here. More advertisers should take their lead don't you think?
Wishing you a great and relaxing weekend! Here are some things around the web that made me happy this week....
1: Peggy scanned in some more beautiful photos from the Banana Republic Ads, they are so... gorgeous!
2: Merrilee from Mer Meg has it going on -- you've got to see this post of the valentine's she and her little ones did. She also has a free download.
3: Have you heard of the Google Art Project? For you all of you art lovers, it is a virtual tour into some of the best museums where you can see famous and beautiful works for art. You can pretend you are walking around, you can zoom in pretty tight to see detail, it is so amazing!
Impeccably cute styling behind the French line Collegien selling these fun slipper socks. Adorable! I totally want a pair, anyone have one -- how are they?
Going through some files on my computer I came across some old Banana Republic ads I had scanned and saved. They still seem rather beautiful and timeless.
Whew, my apologies for not tuning in yesterday, but I have a few great video clips I saw this past week that I wanted to share with you to take you through the weekend.
Have you seen the beautiful Hermes ads around this season, I was flipping through a magazine and came across the horse one above -- gorgeous! What about the super clever ad they done with some fingerboard action? Not sure how many skateboarders wear Hermes, but wow ... it is pretty impressive. Thoughts? I also like this Hermes ad.
Continuing on the fashion note, this second clip makes me want to hop on a plane right away and head to NYC, it is a film series by the amazing photographer Gabriel Mendes and Ani Tzenkova (for Safari Sundays +Trendland) who captured street style in New York City during fashion week. I love how motion captures a mood and feel of a city, even more than photography. Don't you want to see more clips like this of cities all around the world? What city would you want to see most? See more Talk a Walk style clips from here -- ( I really like this one) they are so fun to watch.
This creative PSA and installation in Paris has to be one of the most ingenious ways to get a message across I've seen in quite a while. I was surprised to see the final answer -- were you? What a difficult world problem to conquer.
We've been in Germany for a bit now, and in fact today we passed by a Berlitz learning center in Munich which reminded me of this clip. It is kinda funny. :)
I am silly about always having hand sanitizer in my purse -- especially with my toddler, it comes in handy all the time. This ad spoke to me, well done JWT .
As for advertising, there were lots of good ones airing this year. My favorite campaign was the 'Go World' Ads for Visa by TBWA\ Chiat \Day. I like how they coordinated through color tone and voice, and successfully displayed what the Olympics are all about.
If you unfortunately missed the 'Beijing Opening Ceremony' like I did, you have got to check out these photos that Jordan linked to. I am in awe. What is your favorite Olympic sport to watch? This weekend we were kinda glued to them all.
The following Olympic ads are pretty cool too.
In this Nike Ad, Marvin Gaye sets the tone for the USA men's basketball team.
And I love this Adidas Olympic countdown clip also, very well done.
